Estonian Arboricultural Society (Eesti Arboristide Ühing MTÜ) is an organization uniting arborists, dendrologists and consultants.
Estonian Arboricultural Society was founded on 2008 with the following goals:
value the profession of arborist. According to the Society, only a specialist who has passed the certification exam and received an arborist professional certificate meets the definition of an arborist;
explain to the public the necessity of scientifically proven tree care techniques based on tree biology;
to improve the condition, decorativeness and vitality of the wooden plants in our urban environment;
to help municipalities and private owners find the best solutions and specialists for the maintenance of trees under their responsibility;
protect the rights and interests of arborists and develop their professional skills.

In the 2024 photo competition of the “Eesti Loodus” magazine, the Estonian Arboricultural Society presented a prize in the category of ancient trees. Kadri Vahersalu’s photo of Kastna’s sacred grove eleven-branched linden turned out to be the winner. Author: “A few minutes before taking the picture, this giant linden gave me a good shade from the midsummer rainstorm. The linden on the Kastna hill of sacred grove in Lelle stands out for its majesty from afar. The Estonian Arboricultural Society was recognized with the title of cooperation partner of the year 2024 by the Luua Forestry School.

The contribution of the Estonian Arboricultural Society in the development of the curriculum for arborists, introduction of the profession was recognized, as well as the Baltic States Tree Climbimg Championship were organized in cooperation with the Luua Forestry school. More info…
The Dendrologist (tree assessor, level 5) certification exam will be held on November 5 at Luua Forestry School.
