Baltic States Tree Climbing Championship 2020

Tere tulemast!

Head sõbrad! Balti riikide meistrivõistlused puuronimises toimuvad Viljandis 5 – 6 juuni 2020. Võistlema on oodatud puuronijad kõikjalt ja mitte ainult Balti riikidest. Võistluspaigaks on linnast järve äärde suunduval teel olev Trepimägi. Kuna samal ajal toimuvad Viljandis Hansapäevad, siis on võistlusele oodata rohket publikuhuvi.

08.30 võistlus algab, toimub viis võistlusala (võistlusalade kirjeldused leiad siit)

  1. kannatanu päästmine puult,
  2. tööpuu,
  3. viskeliin,
  4. võrasse tõus,
  5. kiirusronimine.

ca 18.00 Võistluste lõpp esimesel päeval

Laupäev 6. juuni:

Õpilaste võistlus.

Tutvustamaks ronimisvõistluse põnevust ja motiveerimaks arboristi eriala õpilasi arendama oma ronimisoskuseid toimub sellel korral eraldi võistlus ka õpilastele. Õpilaste võistlusel saavad osaleda võistlejad kes:

  1. esindavad Balti riike (Eesti, Läti, Leedu)
  2. õpivad hetkel arboristi- või lähedasel erialal (metsandus, aiandus vm.)
  3. Lõpetasid õpingud aastal 2018 või hiljem ja ei ole varem puuronimisvõistlusel võistelnud.

Hello everybody! The Baltic States Tree Climbing Championship will take place in Viljandi, Estonia, on the 5th and 6th of June, 2020. We invite tree climbers from countries around the Baltic Sea and beyond to compete in our event. The venue is Trepimägi hill, a park right next to lake Viljandi and not far from centre of town. At the same time, Viljandi is hosting Hanseatic Days, so we expect a lot of public attention to our event.

Students’ Competition

To introduce the excitement of tree climbing competitions and to motivate arborist students to improve their tree climbing skills,  a students’ competition will also take place. You must meet the following requirements to compete as a student:

 

  1. You represent Baltic countries (Est, LV,  LT) 
  2. You are currently studying in arborist school or a related educational institution.
  3. Or you have graduated no earlier than 2018 and you have never competed in a tree climbing competition before.

Event location and transportation

Baltic States treeclimbing competition will take place in South Estonia, Viljandi. With its great
location, it is very easy to get there either by train, bus or car. Viljandi is about 2 hours away from
Tallinn depending on what kind of transportation you choose.

If you arrive to Tallinn airport, it is only 5-10
minutes by taxi to get to the bus station. There is also a good connection between Tallinn airport and
train station(Balti jaam) which takes a little more time.

If you arrive to Tallinn port by ship, it is also
very easy to get to the bus station or train station. Below you will find some helpful links if you

As Viljandi is a very small town, the campsite is very close to the city centre. Most places like
restaurants, hotels, shops are only a walking distance from the venue or 5 to 10 minutes by car will
take you anywhere in the city. Find some more information about Viljandi on

Campsite location, rules and information.

Camping area is about 5 minutes walk from the venue. There are a lot of trees where you can
hang up your hammocks if needed. If your car is your bed then there is enough room for
vehicles in the camping area. Dogs are allowed in the park but must be kept leashed and
cleaned after!

The fee for the camping is 10€ per person. You can pay on the site or transfer the money to

name(s)+campsite fee on the payment information.

Parking

Car access to the venue is very good between 04.06 to 05.06. After that on 06.06, we have to

Accommodation

Please note that our event is happening during the Hanseatic Days, so you should book a hotel
as early as possible.

Aasa Guesthouse is offering rooms for prices between 65-95€. This price also includes breakfast. Aasa
guesthouse is located right next to the venue and if You want the reservation, you have to use
the keyword which is “Arboristid”. This offer is available until 01.05 or until they have
rooms!

Additional information

We have organised the catering company for Friday for those who would like to have
breakfast at the venue. You have a chance to sign up for the breakfast when you fill the
registration form or you can also do that prior to the competition by sending us email and we
can sign up for you. The price for the breakfast is 5€ and you can pay for that on the site.

Dogs are allowed on the venue but must be kept leashed and cleaned after!
